Tomorrow is a jean day. Make sure your jeans have no rips or tears and are appropriate colors for school - blue, black, white, grey, or khaki. Cost is 1$ payable to your 2nd period teacher.

Town bus riders will be picked up after the junior high kids today.

The men's restroom in the Ag Building will be closed after lunch. Men: if you have an Ag class after lunch, please make sure that you attend to any needs before you come to class.

This past Saturday, part of the UIL Academic team participated in the Saginaw UIL Invitational Meet. Here are the results.

  • Spelling - 1st place team

  • Spelling - Jocelyn Garcia 1st place individual & Colman Flores 4th place individual

  • Computer Applications - Arthur Arroyo 2nd place and Maya Coumpy 3rd place

  • Accounting - Darielle Haynes - 5th place

  • Mathematics (Freshman & Sophomore test) - Ahmad Alzghoul 6th place

  • Current Issues and Events - Cole Bakley- 1st place

  • Ready Writing - Paulina Silva - 3rd place

Algebra 1 Students, do you have what it takes to be number 1?  Last year Gloria Arreola did! As a #13 seed, Gloria won the championship and became Ferris ISD first ever Algebra 1 "Spring Madness" tournament champion.  This year we have several great donations of prizes from local companies like Momma's BBQ, Country Corner Treasures, Milano's Pizza, Salon 86, TSC Embroidery and much more!  So buckle down and work hard so you can make the field of 64!  If you make the field of 64 anything is possible!!

Students please be careful when walking to Jack in the Box and Taco Bell. Please do not walk through the construction, please use the other side of the street.

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes will meet today in room 112 during advisory at 12:30pm. All athletes and students are invited to attend.

If you signed up to tryout for cheer, the eligibility list has been posted on the glass windows of the gym by the picnic tables.  If your name is on that list, please remember that practices start Monday from 4-5:30 each day after school in the main gym.  You must be present on Monday to learn material for tryouts.  If your name is not on that list and you would like to know why, please go see Coach Davis in room 501.

If you received an email about NHS eligibility, but missed the meeting on Monday, Feb. 26th, you can still come be the library to pick up the NHS information packet from Mrs. Lopez. NHS information packets need to be returned by 4:00 pm to the office on Tuesday, March 6th.

Before school in the morning, breakfast trays need to stay in the cafeteria or at the picnic tables. Please do not bring trays to the front of the building, the library, or the classroom hallways.

During lunch, lunch trays are not allowed in the library.

Students, you should not be in the classroom hallways before the bell rings in the morning unless you have a written pass from a teacher. You should remain in the cafeteria, gym, or main hall until the bell rings at 7:55. Also, during lunch, you should not be in the classroom halls unless you are going to a class for tutoring. If you want to walk, you can walk the main hall.

Students, reminder to wear your ID at all times. Additionally, if you are wearing a t-shirt that is not a spirit shirt, your jacket or sweater must be zipped up so we can not see the shirt and your jacket or sweatshirt must be in dress code.

Cell phones should always be off or on silent during the school day. Cell phone use in the classroom is at the discretion of  the teacher. If the teacher says no, then your cell phones should be put away.

We are 7 days away from the end of the 9 weeks. Use tutoring time appropriately to ensure you are passing your classes at the end of the 9 weeks.

SAGU will  be on campus during lunch today to talk to any student interested in attending SAGU.  Their table will be located in the main hall way.

NAVARRO COLLEGE scholarship representative will be in the COLLEGE and CAREER CENTER Friday, March 2, 2018 during MEGA-LUNCH.  Any student who is will be attending NAVARRO COLLEGE in the fall needs to be in the COLLEGE and CAREER CENTER to complete scholarship applications.  Bring your lunch and complete those applications.

Congratulations to Celestina Martinez on her acceptance to Tyler Junior College for the fall of 2018.
